Daneswood Dressage is a friendly professional yard dedicated to helping dressage riders improve their performance and confidence. Run by Group 2 rider and BD trainer Leonie Smith, training is available in a logical sympathetic way to get the best out of your horse while keeping you both happy and stress free.
Leonie has competed up to Inter II and nationally at PSG and has worked with many different riders, improving performance from international Para stars to walk and trot tests! Daneswood has first class facilities and horses are kept to the highest of standards with the help of Yard manager Holly Bradley.

Leonie has a passion for teaching and really enjoys passing on the knowledge she has gained from many top riders and trainers. It is always so satisfying when someone is struggling to achieve something with their horse to be able to help them work it out. Lunge lessons and advanced schoolmaster lessons are available and we currently have a deal on for lessons with first time clients so please have a look at the livery & training section. Leonie also does a number of clinics locally so if you are interested in her coming to your yard then please contact Leonie. Daneswood is also holding a number of riding club events including dressage to music days and training days.

Leonie is currently looking for schooling, competition and sale liveries. Her high standards ensure that each horse reaches the best of its potential without being forced to perform before it is strong enough. Leonie has trained several horses to advanced level and has a great deal of competition experience. If you think you have a horse that may have some potential then please give Leonie a call to discuss.
Horses can also be taken for short periods for schooling to accelerate the learning process for both you and your horse. Consistent training from Leonie can really help if your horse is struggling with a particular problem. or can be great for preparing for that big show.
Leonie also offers a deluxe sale livery which includes a makeover for you horse, professional photos to be taken and a video clip showing your horses best potential to prospective buyers. Horses are plaited and presented to each client making sure that the perfect match is found for your horse.
Leonie can produce unique floorplans and music for your very own freestyle. Making sure we highlight your horses’ strengths and find music that really lifts and impresses your horse's movement. Leonie has created freestyles that have won at Regional level and been placed at National level.
Her freestyles have also won at Para Grade IV international shows and won at JFEI level in Wicklow Ireland.
Soloman (pictured left) achieved scores of up to 81% with Leonie's music so if you want to have music the judges really love then call Leonie to get a freestyle made.
