Welcome to Daneswood Dressage, a friendly professional yard dedicated to helping dressage riders improve their performance and confidence. Run by Group 2 rider and BD trainer Leonie Smith, training is available in a logical sympathetic way to get the best out of your horse while keeping you both happy and stress free. Leonie has compted up to Inter II and nationally at PSG and has worked with many different riders, improving performance from international Para stars to walk and trot tests! Lunge lessons and advanced schoolmaster lessons are avaliable, please have a look at the livery & training section.

MEET THE TEAM
The most important part of a successful yard is the team that runs it. I am very fortunate to have a fabulous working pupil, Ali Owen who rides Mrs. Diane Owen's Perreux, pictured here on him at regionals this year.. Ali has been with us for 3 years now and is exceptional in looking after the horses to my very high standards and hoping to qualify for nationals this year. During the holidays and at weekends she is joined by U21 elite squad member Emily Richards, pictured here in the middle, who rides a very exciting Sandro Hit youngster Sabrina and advanced horse Absolut whom she hopes to do Junior FEI with this year. Both of Emilys horses are owned by super mum Val Richards pictured to the right of Emily. The most important member of the team is another super mum, Liz Smith who fills in for anyone who is off and keeps us all in top shape, she is on the left in this photo. If you can’t ever find anything on the yard it’s because Liz has tidied it away!! She is also the one who keeps the biscuit and cake tin endlessly full so is everyone’s favourite person!!! At the back of the picture is Paul, Ali's very understanding boyfriend who must think we are all mad but joins in with the fun anyway!!
