Things never go quite as planned do they?!!! We are currently snowed in at the lovely Lincomb Equestrian so there is not much action going on at present. Luckily the horses all can stretch their legs on the walker but we are not able to ride at the moment which is very frustrating. Am playing around with some rolls of tarpaulin to see if we can get the school ride-able but I’m not holding my breath!! Not the best preparation for Alfie’s regionals at PSG and Advanced Medium but he is enjoying a rest! He is like a 3 year old to bring back into work so I will defiantly be wearing a seatbelt the first time I ride him after all this snow!! He seems to get naughtier the older he gets which is nice in a way as he is not showing any signs of wanting to give up at the age of 19!!!! Mika has had a bit of time off too which is no bad thing as he is still growing – he really needs to stop now at 17 hands!!! - and has had a few feet problems which are hopefully coming to an end with our fabulous new farrier Adrian Ward. We are staying at Lincomb while my new yard is being planned and hopefully built on my 22 acre field in Boreley Lane but as always things are moving very slowly at the planning stage. We have had to make a few alterations to the plans and have a million surveys done but everything is still looking good to get planning permission in early 2011. Ideally I would love to rent a Yard for a year with a few more boxes to take the pressure off rushing the build of the new yard so if anyone knows of a yard that might be suitable with at least 10 boxes, some turnout and a good school I would really appreciate a call. Hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas and new year and here’s to some warmer weather to take us out of the ice age in 2011!!!!
