Daneswood can offer the best facilities any dressage horse could wish for and the standard of care is exceptionally high.
Not even the smallest of scratches goes untreated and we make sure they are as safe as possible at all times.
Individual turnout reduces accidents in the fields to zero and we make sure that each horse is friendly with it neighbour so they can chat through the fence but not get up to any mischief!
+ All the stables are large internal Loddon boxes which are fully rubber
matted and all are supplied with water feeders.
* Hay is fed from the floor to encourage stretching over their backs.
+ There is a heated rug room with rug racks for every horse.
+ The arena is flood lit with training mirrors and has an Equestrian Direct
surface of silica sand, rubber and fibre mix which rides brilliantly in all
weathers. The school can be used at any time by clients.
+ Clients also have the use of a wash room and solarium.
+ All pathways to the fields and school are bricked and the sandy soil
means turnout all year round from 7.30 till 3pm is available.
+ Clients enjoy the best of services including tack cleaning, clipping,
trimimng, plaiting, transport to shows
+ Feed buckets are washed out daily and automatic water drinkers every
week
+ Horses feet are picked out every tiem they leave the stable and when
they come in from the field.
+ In the winter turnout boots are washed and dryed for the next day
+ A washing service is provided for all boots, bandages, numnahs and
small rugs for no extra charge
+ Clients have use of tea and coffe making facilities and a heated
changing area
+ Horses are checked all over every day for any signs of injury, heat or
swelling and any treatment is administered as needed.
+ Clients are welcome to use any farrier and their horse will be brought in
to be shod and we always make the farrier a cup of tea!
+ The yard farrier is Kelvin Lymer from Sandpitt forge who is an excellent
remedial farrier. His forge is located near by so putting on a lost shoe
can be done within hours
+ There are regular visits from Physiotherapist Sue Palmer who can
improve your horses performance and comfort.
