DANESWOOD DRESSAGE

Its been a busy month as usual not helped by the fact I had to move house and the horses!! Chaos!! Sorry to anyone who may have not had a quick reply from their emails or calls but I am back online now and ready for action! I am now living in Cleobury Mortimer which I love, not least because I am just off the high street next to a fish and chip shop and Indian takaway and a pub!! Not much good for the diet but I am trying to resist temptation to eat out every night!!

Jack took a while to settle in at Chorley as he has a bit of a sheep phobia but we are getting over that now (turned him out in a field next to the sheep!!) and he is really starting to look impressive and fill out. Chorley is the most beautiful spot, the view from the school is awesome and there is plenty of grass for him to eat. I am so happy to have mirrors again so I can see what I am doing! Lessons are available at Chorley for £35, there is plenty of parking and the surface is top class so call Leonie if you would like to book one.

I am also excited to say I have a new ride on a very talented mare called Dawn. She came to me as a sale livery and I just fell in love with her. She is a little project for me and I hope to get her to the PSG music finals in April next year. She was working elem when she came to me so that will be quite a challenge but she is the most trainable horse I have ever sat on. She is already starting to show real talent for piaffe and passage! She is also the perfect horse to have alongside Jack, she is perfect to hack so I have been riding her and leading Jack to get him used to hacking which they both love. The hacking around Chorley is breathtaking and I am really enjoying it . I hope to get her qualified for the Medium regionals soon and Jack will have some more training for the time being until he has relaxed a bit more. As he was a bit upset by the move I don’t want to put him on the lorry until he is feeling more settled.

Also congratulations to Harriette Williams and Diamondez who have qualified for the Novice regionals. I am so pleased Mika is happy in is new home and very proud that my training has resulted in such a great partnership!
