Well I could not be happier at Chorley Equestrian, the quality of care is superb and the horses are really happy and looking fantastic on the amazing grass we have here. I have a few horses in for training at the moment and will have a few spaces next month for anyone wanting a bit of intensive help with their horse. Life has been very busy with clinics all over the country, I could really do with a few extra hours in the day!! Click here for clinic dates...
My partnership with Jack is going from strength to strength and we are starting to get some outstanding work as he gets stronger and more confident. We went for a little outing to Kingswood for a lesson with Kate Atlee and he was perfect – Kate was very impressed with him and I was thrilled with how he handled the trip as he has been a bit of a worrier when travelling. I will do a few more training sessions with him to various venues to increase his confidence and then hope to take him to do a few shows soon.
Dawn has been steadily improving but has had to have a bit of help form Sue Palmer, my physio as she has gone from novice to nearly PSG in a few months so her body needs a bit of time to adapt!! She has had a bit of a block in her neck and right shoulder which has made right flexion a bit hard for her so we have had some forelimb stretches to do daily and I have been using the tens machine on her neck which has helped her lots. She is starting to feel loads better and I feel we have had a bit of a breakthrough now, some of her work is really starting to be really spectacular! I hope to qualify her for the medium and advanced medium regionals this season. Sue comes to Chorley once a month and is available to treat your horse if you want to improve performance and flexibility, click here for dates....
I also have a world class pony in for training at the moment called Heathviews Dancing Lady or Bonnie to her friends. She is just the most awesome pony to ride and I am really excited to be taking her to her first show soon. She will also contest the Medium Regionals as well, hopefully for the Music too as I am currently doing a floor plan for her. She is such a character and so easy to train I can’t wait for the judges to see her soon. More pics of Bonnie here....
We have a planning meeting at the beginning of September and so far the planners are remaining very positive! I hope to start work as soon as possible and may even be in for Christmas which would be very exciting!!
